The Coalition for Children's Mental Health, based in Hudson, Ohio, is dedicated to increasing awareness of mental health disorders and illnesses among children and adolescents. Our goal is to promote early intervention and to prevent the physical, emotional and social consequences of the failure to treat mental illnesses. By encouraging the entire community to support youth who suffer from these disorders, along with their families, the Coalition works to reduce stigma and increase understanding and treatment of these disorders, often referred to as mental illnesses. The Coalition consists of a wide range of organizations and concerned individuals and families, who volunteer their time to make a difference in the lives of children who are experiencing or are at increased risk for behavioral or emotional disorders. CCMH's mission to educate, advocate and support further entails information regarding mental health resources, mental health counselors and professions and much more.
Educate: Increase the understanding of behavioral and emotional disorders in children, youth and to promote mental wellness for all.
Advocate: Raise awareness of mental health issues and decrease the stigma of mental illness.
Support: Provide families coping with mental health issues with area resources and enhance connections in the community
CCMH is always looking for volunteers within the community to help further our mission; whether you would like to volunteer to server as a Board Member, volunteer for an event, or make a contribution to CCMH, we welcome all to join us! Please contact us via e-mail at hudsonccmh@gmail.com.
